My interpretation

A couple of days later than expected but here it is: the long awaited update! Let's see... It's been two weeks since I last updated so stuff must have happened! The major event of the last two weeks is no doubt the Mika-gig. Let's see how that Tuesday went:

  • I got up at 8am to get my room sorted, company would come over and me and my room were a mess.
  • I left at 11 am to arrive at the venue at 12 pm, note that the show began at 8 pm and then the waiting began. I met a couple of people from the Mika-fanclub (http://www.mikafanclub.com) and we stood in line together. I waited for 8 hours and it didn't kill me, then again, I waited for 9 hours to see Fall Out Boy and that didn't kill me either.
  • After hours of waiting in the rain they let us in and we got a spot all the way up front. The pre-show was horrid. This band 'Alphabeat' opened. Frankly, the one guy was dressed in pink and he was überspastic.
  • Anyhow the Mika show was absolutely fantastic. It couldn't beat FOB, but nothing can. It was joyful, funny, playful.... It was a huge party, a fiësta with balloons and confetti and plush animals...I didn't take any pics or videos, but if you search on YouTube I'm sure you'll find some. If anyone wants to know more details about the show, I'm sure nobody will, but if ever you do just comment or something and I'll write a more detailed report.
  • After the gig me, Priscilla and a couple of othe members of the Mika-fanclub waited to get an autograph. And boy am I glad we did! He came out to greet us and greeted us individually while signing. Some guys next to me kept talking to him so I didn't get the chance to really talk to him, but when he signed Priscilla's DVD I went for it and congratulated him with the show and he said: "Oh, thank you." That's all he said, but he did say it.

A few things I found out about myself. I have the hugest American accent but somehow when I have a conversation with a Brittish person I switch and do the Brit. It aggravates me...
A year ago I was afraid to talk to anybody, now I spoke to Mika. A man I look up to. A man... I don't talk to boys let alone men. I can't talk to a guy without stuttering so there was a first. I've proven to be quite the chatterbox and the madman!

Watch out world! Here I come! The new and improved Monco has arrived! (Don't worry I was like that after seeing FOB, it'll wear out)

Oh, Mika, if ever you decide to be vain and google yourself, make sure you read this and next time we should talk a bit more.

It don't make sense to you at all, but this is my interpretation...

Google me!

I'm proud to announce that my blog is officially searcheable with google! I turned on my guy brain and searched '"Joss Stone" shortest dress'. Guess who came out 5th in a list of 435?! Now loads of pervs will read this blog. I come on somewhere when you search for 'Fall Out Boy', but way to many teenies outranked me. Here's proof of my listing:

Other news:

  • I've met my upstairs neighbour, his name's Emanuel and he's nice (for now at least)... I had to ask him to fix internet, lack of internet drove me up the walls and in the fridge. So it's fixed and I dicovered he's a computer wizz, this comes in handy when my lovely Microsoft Windows Vista PC crashes. Will he do this for free?
  • Pete Wentz broke two bones in his foot. It sounded funnier in Dutch: Hij brak twee benen in z'n voet. Translation: He broke two legs in his foot. In Dutch: been=leg and bone... We're allowed to sign his cast if we bump into him. I'll hold him to that!

  • I'm going to the Mika-concert in 189 hours! Although I'm looking forward to it I know I'll never have the wow-feeling again, I lost my wow-virginity to FOB. It's lost forever and only FOB will top that I think....

  • Moon-Lie thinks I should be a tabloid journalist... I'll try my best to satisfy her needs and keep everybody up to date on the latest showbizz news. I also won't let the opportunity slip to share my opinion on these colorful creatures, for your entertainment off course.

It's true, romance is dead, I shot it in the chest then in the head

No EMA for "Fall Out Boy"

Thursday, November 1st: EMA's. Next to the MTV Music Awards THE biggest event for us music lovers. I voted and voted and voted again about a zillion times, urged everybody to vote, nearly started a poster campaign so that Fall Out Boy could take home at least one award. Just one. I was nervous, vains nearly popping out of every corner of my body (if that's even possible), my heart racing every time they announced FOB as a nominee. But all my votes and the votes of about a thousand other hard-core fans were lost.

Let's see who did win:

  • Rock Out: Linkin Park, 30 Seconds to Mars, My Chemical Romance, Evanescence, Fall Out Boy

  • Ultimate Urban: Justin Timberlake, Beyonce, Kanye West, Timbaland, Rihana, Gym Class Heroes

  • Band: Tokio Hotel, Linkin Park, Fall Out Boy, Good Charlotte, My Chemical Romance

  • Most Addictive Track: Umbrella, Girlfriend, Grace Kelly, All Good Things, Rehab, Beautiful Liar

  • Headliner: Beyonce, Justin Timberlake, Arctic Monkeys, Foo Fighters, Muse

  • Album: Nelly Furtado 'Loose', Amy Winehouse 'Back to Black', Akon 'Convicted', Linkin Park 'Minutes to Midnight', Avril Lavigne 'The Best Damn Thing'

  • Solo: Mika, Justin Timberlake, Christina Aguilera, Avril Lavigne, Rihanna, Nelly Furtado

  • Inter Act: 30 Seconds to Mars, Depeche Mode, My Chemical Romance, Fall Out Boy, Tokio Hotel

  • Video Star: Kanye West 'Stronger', Justin Timberlake 'What Goes Around Comes Around', Justice 'Dance', Bat For Lashes 'What's a Girl To Do', Foo Fighters 'The Pretenders', Chemical Brothers 'Salmon Dance'

Sure, because I'm a big FOB fan I believe they should've won at least two awards. But I'm not a fan because I love Pete's weenie, Patrick's hats, Joe's hair and Andy's tats. I love those guys because they make great/awesome/insane music, Patrick's voice is incredible and he's a musical genius, Pete's a great lyricist, Joe is a great showman and Andy is an awesome drummer. That's why they deserved at least two awards, because they are life altering. They've changed many lives and just recently they changed the lives of thousands of "Invisible Children". You should check out what I'm talking about right here with the video: 'I'm Like A Lawyer With The Way I'm Always Trying To Get You Off (Me and You)'

or check http://www.invisiblechildren.com/ . They deserve it and in my eyes they are winners!

Some other things I noticed:

  • During Tokio Hotel's performance the lead singer, the little girly guy, the kid bends over the whole time. He's so static and just keeps doing it a whole time. Now that's showmanship! While totally lacking contact with the audience he just stood there, bending over. Those guys really deserved an award...*sarcastic*
  • Amy Whinehouse accepted the 'Artist's Choice' award with the memorable words: "Actually....." and then went off stage. And that was the part we all understood. Later that evening she performed her song "Mwahaahafafa, googalala" or that is all I got from the title. Not to mention the song, she sang something allright, or rather moaned. Because I'm sure nobody got what she was singing. Did she pull a Britney? (A Britney=Showing up drugged at an award show AND performing.)
  • Snoop Dog really thought he was the man, although I'm sure nobody in Germanizzle got what the shizzle he was talking about.
  • And the award for shortest dress goes to... Joss Stone! Poor girl in my opinion she just forgot to put on her pants, just blame it on the pre-show stress.

All I can say is: better luck next time guys!

'Till next time friends, same black hair, same blog channel, goodnight everybody!
Your host for the evening: Monco...
